Hey Everyone, thanks for looking! I'm quite proud of this one. I still have some work to do before oiling, but I thought I'd post some in-progess shots. Still finishing up some projects before I have my first go at the stock removal method. It's the first time i've played with angles in the stack and the bolster. I really like the end result, but getting there was sometimes Materials: -Blade: Lauri 95 SS -Brass Bolster -Nickel Silver 2mm spacers -Nickel Silver 1mm spacers -Black vulcanized rubber spacers -Reclaimed Ebony wood -Reindeer antler I'd love to here your thoughts, and thanks for the motivation from the great work you all do! Thanks again for looking! Love to hear your thoughts!
Here's my couple of (now extinct) pennies worth. First off, I really like the choice of materials. There's that strong contrast between the light and dark, but also a sense of depth that both show. When I first looked at the photos, I wasn't sure about all the different angles. At first look, it seemed a bit jumbled to me. However, as I look at it more, I'm starting to like the way the angled bands accentuate the curves of the handle. I expect my initial reaction has more to do with the difference between photos and seeing the real thing.
