WIP...ebony, antler, silver and brass stick tang

    Hey Everyone, thanks for looking! I'm quite proud of this one. I still have some work to do before oiling, but I thought I'd post some in-progess shots. Still finishing up some projects before I have my first go at the stock removal method.

    It's the first time i've played with angles in the stack and the bolster. I really like the end result, but getting there was sometimes

    Materials:
    -Blade: Lauri 95 SS
    -Brass Bolster
    -Nickel Silver 2mm spacers
    -Nickel Silver 1mm spacers
    -Black vulcanized rubber spacers
    -Reclaimed Ebony wood
    -Reindeer antler

    Here's my couple of (now extinct) pennies worth.

    First off, I really like the choice of materials. There's that strong contrast between the light and dark, but also a sense of depth that both show.

    When I first looked at the photos, I wasn't sure about all the different angles. At first look, it seemed a bit jumbled to me. However, as I look at it more, I'm starting to like the way the angled bands accentuate the curves of the handle. I expect my initial reaction has more to do with the difference between photos and seeing the real thing.

    i've always been a sucker for a stacked handle-love the contrasts and the angles
