Had a bunch of bearing balls and found a use for them.
Grind a flat spot on them, cut a slot with your Dremel and you have a unique knife stand.
Take some clear nailpolish and coat the slot so you don't scratch the knife blade. The only problem is it is tough to take a picture without reflection on something.

    Very cool idea!

As for the reflections, you could use a little Photoshop magic to "frost" your balls:blink: or create a new reflection.

Excellent! I've got several bearings that are severely rusted & pitted to the point that I don't want to use them for blades. A clear lacquer finish on them might look cool. Thanks for the idea Cal.

Cliff if they are all rusted try sandblasting them. I am going to blast one and see if I can use it for taking pictures so there isn't so much reflection.
