Just tried out a VSM Actirox 36g belt from Knifemakerdirect.ca, not sure if anyone else is supplying them yet.

I was extremely impressed with it. It felt like I was grinding an annealed knife when grinding some nitro v at about 62hrc. I actually stopped to check with my Rockwell files to see if it was hardened lol.

the price seemed absurd at $20 per belt, but the speed it cuts might make it worth it. Also almost no wear on it after grinding a 5” petty knife with no pre grind before hardening.

Going to have to test them out also. Sounds like a real good belt.

The VSM CERAMICS PLUS XF885 sanding disk is even better at removing materials. Used on heavy mill scale and I had bare metal faster than I would have with a grinding wheel
