Wow! Not even remotely close to how I have been grinding. Mind you I didn't have anyone who really showed me. I just basically start at the plunge line and work my way forward pretty much evenly the entire time. I do one or two passes on one side then flip and make one or two on the other side.
Ya, his technique is quite different from the way I do it as well. I'd never think of doing bevels on the slack belt, but who's to argue with the results? It's great to watch someone who makes knives for a living do their thing. Dan
