That is an absolutely beautiful piece. Love all the pics so we can see each step of the process.
Thanks for sharing your art with us.
Thanks for taking the time for posting all of those pics!! Great looking finished piece.
What is the machine called that you use to press in your markers mark??
This is as in depth a work in progress thread that anyone could ask for. Wonderful execution, and a beautiful knife indeed. Excellent job. Thank you very much.
I don't know name, it is an old old machine.
In this video you can see hit work
I'm fairly certain that's a small screw press or fly press.
Yeah flypress .... another thing on my want list but I think would want one of the flywheel style ones instead of the counterweight style. I could see myself knocking some teeth out haha. Great visual tutorial ...beautiful knife. Thank you!
Wonderful! I have a question though, in the photo's it looks like you began the bevel grind by hollow grinding and then went / ended up with full-flat or convex? Just wondering if this is a technique I am not aware of!
I know an it's an older thread, if someone else has an answer, love to hear about it!
Wow!! One day I want to be able to finish that well. That's a beautiful knife. Thanks for sharing.
