I took a look at the website and it looks like the Ko3 has more and finer adjustability than the other models. If do decide to get one and it's in your budget I would definitely go with the dimond stones. Hope this helps
I have the Kadet. Sharpens everything I make perfectly. 10” Chefs no issue. But if you have the money, KO3…it’s not really hard decision haha. There’s a reason that model is more $$$. Like I said though, happy with the Kadet. But if you are a maker or knife enthusiast with large camp knife / choppers in mind, Kadet probably isn’t for you. Much like the smaller entry sharpener they have is really for pocket knives, folders and small fixed blades. Post on the Kadet I wrote. Important info for setting the angle correctly on it. Plus a video that links to my Flickr account (so totally safe) showing how well it did on the 8” Gyuto I made. https://www.canadianknifemaker.ca/index.php?threads/ts-prof-kadet.3836/#post-30032
Thanks Vladimir and Griff. I went ahead and got the Kadet. I appreciate your advice in my decision. I will try your method for setting the angle Griff but am taking it slow so I don't learn from my mistakes. Gonna get something called Krud Buster. Supposed to be good for lubricating diamond stones.
