    Love those blades Cal! I like them on instagram, so it’s okay I’m late here lol!

    Cal do you take the Micarta to just 400G to keep it grippy? Honestly I find some guys take their handles up to way too fine a grit, then buff and polish them until it’s like holding a Teflon coated eel :D

    I mean I like shiny for a kitchen knife, because it give the impression of cleanliness, but for an outdoor blade it shouldn’t be something your striving for.

    Griff, sand to 400 and then buff.
    My filleting knife is done the same way and I thought it would be tough to hang on to especially with Pike slime on it but it seems to work just fine.
