Just finished these, get the sheaths made and that will be it for 2015.
Wow very nice Cal. What kind of wood is that on the laddery type blade? (the not so recurved one). They both look burlishious! Were you able to get Don to do that stabilizing for you?

They are both Maple burl. Don did the one on the re curve blade.
The one piece has a lot of eyes and is kind of grayish in colour although the picture does not show the gray.

Spectacular. The handle material really matches the patterned blades on both knives. The pattern on the straighter knife is very cool.

That was going to be my guess on the Drop-Point. I thought it was likely Manitoba Maple (Box Elder) on the Droop-Point.
Two beautiful knives hard to say witch one is the nieces.
