This is my second of a batch of 10 damasks blades, its a Tanto style with (unknown wood type) and mosaic pins with camo kydex sheath with orange rivets ands orange paracord to match. Requested from a customer to these color combinations. Actually ties together ok I think, again Im always open to critisism, so please feel free to chip in your two cents. I know my work isn't perfect, and neither is my camera work. All I have is an iPhone5 to take pictures right now. Does the trick though, and to the person who commented on my other sheath, I took into consideration what you said about distance between blade and rivets. It worked really well and i went 3/8". Thanks and hope you all enjoy

Also, if anyone knows what wood type this is please chime in, I can't remember what it is, came in a batch of 8 assorted I got on eBay. Cheers

It was me who commented about the rivets. This one looks much more slim and compact with the rivets a bit tighter to the blade, well done. Personally i take my sheath higher up on the handle but if you are getting good retention like that its probably not needed. As for the wood type, i feel like i should know it but cant think of it of the top of my head, its nice stuff though. the only thing with the knife i would consider is maybe not taking the handle down so low to a point at the front. while it looks good and fits the flow of the knife, that small relatively thin or pointy area can be problematic with use as the thinner area can be prone to chipping or breaking. It may not ever be an issue for you but its just something i have seen happen in the past. Overall very well done.

I think that's a very good effort and a most useful knife. I believe I bought the 5 pack of assortment scale sets from the same guy on eBay (from Quebec?). I like the burl wood, but cannot remember what he had in my assortment. My only comment would be it looks like the rear pin got a little hot when shaping the handle. (could also be my eyes!) Black ring around the pin can be caused by the hot pin burning the wood around it. I finish shaping my handles with good old sheet sand paper which is cool.

    Eight more to go!

Nice knife, and a very nice distal taper in the blade, very good.
Personally would like to see thickness taper in the tang as well.
Also really like how the handle slabs are contoured around the lanyard hole, that's a nice touch.

I'm not sure if it was a little hot or not, shouldn't have been. But, I'd have to take another look at it. It's my first one I finished complete and sold to a friend. He's super happy with it. Hes big into hunter and camo, so he appreciated the sheath and the Orange paracord. And Grayzer they are profiled before I get them. Only reason for this is my 2x72 is in my home province. Haven't had a chance to ship it to alberta. I do have a few of my own blades OTG, but they need more profiling so in at a stand still with them. This is just a (in the meantime) fix for the lack of machines. And as far as demascus goes, I wouldnt have the means to make it either. The ones I get are between 56-60 RC. I'm enjoying working with his stuff though, have 5 already spoken for and no time to work em right now. Fortunately/unfortunately with the price of oil right now, work seems to be working towards a stand still. Maybe have to sell knives to keep the family warm and fed lol

Is it my eyes or are those pins different on the opposite sides? Or am I being fooled by Steve Jobs again?
