Here is another one I finished a couple weeks ago. It is O-1 mirror finish with 416 guard. The handle is stabilized spalted tamarind. Because every piece of tamarind I have seen so far has little holes thru it I figured I'd do a CA finish on it and I am happy I did. It may not be as noticeable in the picture but in person the handle actually looks like mammoth ivory. Let me know what you guys think.

Wow, you been busy! Great finish. I especially dig the finish on the blade. The handle does look like some form of mammoth tusk.

The little holes you refer to are are from termites? When I lived in the tropics I saw a ton of wooded furniture that had these 1/2 mm holes/tunnels all through it. It gives it character, as long as it doesn't break!

Thanks Dan. I have read that they are worm holes or insects but I am not sure which one it true. Either way I agree it does add character. I figured I'd fill them just to keep dirt and moisture out.
