This is what I've been up to lately getting the handles on some. 4 more to go then cases and sharpening .
Lol they are not getting leather. I do kydex cases much faster . For sure it's not so nice as leather but around here people is happy with kydex and don't want to pay more for leather. I'm happy with that.
Fine work there Kevin! Wow, my mind is sore from looking at all them knives. That there is a two years of work for us weekend warriors. What material are the synthetic scales? Dan
It's kirinite I like it for kitchen knives and I use carbon fibre pins . Should have a few more done today . Thanks for the compliment.
That's funny how everyone likes something different. I much prefer all my blades having a kydex sheath. Easy to clean and maintain well hunting and fishing. Or in the kitchen. These knives are on point amazing work
It's not an original sentiment but I like the look and feel of leather better than kydex. But obviously kydex will hold up better to the elements. Love the knives Kevin. Again though, I marvel at how prolific a maker you are. To make anything of that quality in those numbers is astounding to me. Truly. I'm not sure about the first pic though. I like the shape of the knives but I'm not sure about all that "green coloured" steel. And some of them have writing on them!? : )
Some hunting ones I finished up today. I missed up my logo on one the stencil moved and I didn't see it . I ..Almost cried.
No it's orange g 10 and carbon fibre on top with orange and black g10 spacers with green kirinite in the middle .
nice! I used g-10 for the first time the other day, I love the look of it and the durability, but wasn't sure if I could buff it so it has a sheen like those. gonna have to read up a bit more and try it lol thanks
Gorgeous. Love the orange! And those sheaths are fantastic looking. My kydex is functional but not very pretty to look at. I like how you incorporate elements of a traditional sheath but use kydex. Very nice. I dig your work Kevin. And I'm amazed at how much you do. You make me feel very lazy : )
Yes you can buff it for sure . I use white first then a shot of pink . I sand it to 600gr first . Make sure you use a good mask the dust from it is nasty. Make a down draft box for sanding it. Works good .
