Thankfully this is a hobby for me, and no customer was waiting on it, this knife was 4 months in the making! I nicknamed this Snikmorder, a Norwegian word. I did a stepped handle design on it that I call the FLAG handle for Fits Like A Glove! O1 steel. Burlap micarta by True North Micarta a Canadian firefighter who’s hobby is making scales (very cool, Instagram is @truenorthmicarta for anyone interested). Carbon fibre pins. Anyway it was a good project, a lot of experimental details, that I may or may not go so deep on again. Thanks for taking a look, cheers, Griff.
Bad ass design there Griff. Cool blade and tasteful embellishments. Love that sheepsfoot drop. Is that going to be someone's Christmas present?
Thanks Dan! No this is just another knife as I continue to develop skills. I threw a lot at this to see what would stick lol! The full length recurve grind, plunges top and bottom (because I’m a glutton for punishment), file work on the spine and the gimping, and an experimental handle. I’d think I’m almost at the point that I could put my name on one and sell them. I will undoubtedly give this to someone. As for selling we will see what 2020 brings. Cheers.
Nice design. I've never seen anything quite like it. It's an original. That's saying something in the knifemaking world. Love the filework.
