    Here is the first one for 2015

    1080 / 15N20 Shockwave Damascus
    Handle is a Steller Sea Cow bone which has been extinct for about 300 years.

    Man I love that shockwave pattern. As always, inspiring pieces. 2015 is looking good!

    Q: Do get that mottled effect on the leather by scrunching up some paper and applying the dye? Very cool.

    Use a silicon basting brush with a bit of dark dye and just dap the sheath on an angle.
    Try it on some junk leather to practice and don't put much dye on the brush.

    This sounds even more intriguing... How did the see cow made it to Yellowknife? :D:D

    Did you have to stabilize this bone? I looked up some photos of the Steller's See Cow bones and they look pretty porous...
