    Hi everyone,

I'm making a sheath for a knife and I want to make one of those that folds over the blade with the stitching only on the one side, kinda molded to the blade and up past the bolsters, maybe a bit higher. I understand I have to wet the leather to form it around the blade and handle but I also want to stamp a basket weave pattern on it that would go past the fold a bit. I've been reading on the posts that some sew the sheath, then wet it to form around the sheath. Would I stamp it after? Then I probably shouldn't stitch it. What do you think? Any suggestions?

    Thanks

That's exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks. I got it bookmarked.

No problem. That is the first good tutorial I found when I just got into knifemaking.

That tutorial was also my first inspiration. A perfect place to start on the fold over.
