It is about time I seriously put effort into making the sheath kits 7-8 ounce leather for sheath 3-4 ounce for molded pouches Snaps Rivets Thread & Needles Screw back post studs Leather Lace Chicago Screws Small can for Sheath pouch Large can for first-aid and other uses Rectangular rings or D-rings for danglers Snap hook 1/2" wide 7-8 ounce strap for forming welts 1 1/2" strap for forming belt loop Leather for the sheaths will be a couple different sizes for small, medium and large sheaths and everything individually bagged. I am thinking it would be easier to store the items and all you have to do is grab the bag and you have everything you need for making a sheath at hand. If you have any other suggestions or need a particular item for your product line drop me an email and I will put together a package deal. suggestions on sizes from several people will help get an idea of what others use per sheath
I have yet to make a sheath, and even though I cannot contribute to the sizing question, I will say that the package/kit idea is what I would prefer to buy and sounds perfect!
It came to me when I had half a cow hide and more bits and pieces than I could use in ten years all piling up. Thought I should organize into packages for easy storage, guess how far I got About to Order some wickett-craig and once again would be running out of room.
I have started setting up the Purchase page for the sheath kits. Just have to nail down at least three panel sizes for the leather portion. leather-sheath-kit
