I started on a kiridashi today. It’s sitting in the oven tempering as I type. I only beveled one side as I am going to use it for my leather craft knife. Now when I go to sharpen do I do a seconday bevel or do I keep going till the single bevel becomes my edge? I will post some pics of it when it is finished.

I'm working on one as well. I just did a single bevel. I did not do a secondary bevel and the single bevel edge is quite thin and I'm worried about what will happen in heat treat. Think i'll grind the edge back a bit so it has a little more edge thickness, heat treat and then finish to the right edge afterwards.

I wouldn't do an intentional secondary unless you know it's going to abused. Strop it like a razor.
Can't wait to see the pics.
