Hi Guys, well after making my first little Nessmuk I got 2 more orders to make more... started on the first one, but this time changed it up a little, grinded a larger bevel to it, about 1 1/4 and tried a different filing pattern, tried my hands at the rope filing again, since the first attempt on the cleaver dint look much like rope, here is a few pictures of the progress so far...I still need to tighten the rope effect and sand out the file marks... but it give you an idea.
Looks good and one thing I was going to put on a Sgian Dubh was rope but carry it around the side of the blade for a full 3D effect.
Nice file work sir! My only comment would be that the front humped part of the spine of a Nessmuk was shaped like that to use as a spoon for eating etc so the file work there will sort of render that part simply cosmetic. It does look really nice though!
Hi Bobby, Thank you sir! I know about the nessmuk functions, and mentioned it to the client...but what client wants...client gets...
