now i seem to have a scandi bug-started another one cause i always wanted to try a angled composite handle.unfortunatly i never had a camera with me and got caught in the"i gotta see how this works bug"so this is all i have so far for pics.has an antiqued antler-cocobola middle and caraguana wood
Caragana is an unrated wood when used in small projects . I was pleased to see you using Caragana. It can really have a nice dark purple core at it's centre, but you need to check it out good because it can be punky [not quite rotten yet]. If you watch for standing dead Caragana you may find a piece with a large core section of hard, all dark purple. Live Caragana with leaves on, will only give you a soft white sap wood to work with, not much good for anything. You did a great job aligning the angles with the antler, that looks easier than it is to do. Nice job Shadman.
thanx-got a few pieces of caragana from my woodworking father in sask and tried to section it for the purple core.loved playing with the angles on the handle and defitnally trying it again
