    thanx to endless hours on youtube aluminum is easier but still getting lots of air pockets in brass.yes i made the blade-an old piece of i beleive o-2 i had around-going to try for a etched hamon

    Cool! Me and a friend used to play around with casting brass and I don't know where we got this from.. but we'd take a tab off pop can and toss it I the melting brass. We were doing lost wax casting, some worked really good, a few didnt .

    been using borax for a flux-just dont think i have the ratio right yet,but as with all things in knifemaking the "aha" moment will come
