So my brother been bothering me for a knife since I started making them(going on 8 or 9 years now...) so Ive finally made him one!

W1 and mild steel san mai blade, bronze guard and pin and bocote handle. First "modern knife for me with a ricasso and plunge grinds which proved to be a challenge, thanks for looking!

Looks good Mike, you are going to have to make it to the hammer in this year. I have about 500 roller bearing that need forging.
I have made some kitchen knives our of them, they work great and are and scary sharp.

Cool knife. When you say first "modern", I assume you make medieval or primitive blades? I'd love to see some pics. Do you have them here or do you have a site?

Hi ToddR, lately Ive been making puukkos and some kitchen knifes but still have yet to make a full tang anything... main focus has always been on historically "inspired" swords and there earlier construction using patternwelding!
