Officially back in the saddle as I prepare to make a sheath for this head knife ( round knife)

There were a few ups and downs but I kept it together and made this knife, the number of first is pretty long on this one.
    first this year
    first hollow grind
    first machine turned (jeweling)
first this year after a year or two away from knife making
    first round knife
first with built in sharpening feature
    first on rebuilt grinder
going to be the first production knife after product testing, there are plans for two more leather working knives. Going to be redesign of very old styles too hopefully make them better.

Still trying to figure out a fair price and sheath options

Very cool John, I really like the machined jeweling, gives it a very unique look. Wood looks gorgeous and the mosaic lanyard works to tie it all in.

I have actually spent some time working on the math for the handle layout and next one for testing will be for a 3" hand after that is a 5" wide hand.

Best part is I may be able to incorporate this into a duplicator at different scales making handle work pretty quick

The mosaic pin is for more than looks on this round knife.

    1- Sharpening aid
    2- Mount for strap cutter

video of me trying to develop a technique for sharpening & honing that does not involve cutting myself
