Recent Work, Slipjoints...

    Hi there, coming back here, been away from this forum for a while, it's been a busy year in the shop... but I will try to come back more often, see what is going around here.

    I see that photobucket and his new hosting politics have done some damage here too, lot of threads with no pictures, including my older threads.

    For now I will only create this new thread to show some of my most recent work in the folders category.
    So I've been working on slipjoints a lot in the past year, my fun with this is in ''revisiting'' classical shapes but trying to keep the work a little off the tracks, putting it my personal touch with a lot of metal working for the handles... texturing, patina and all that kind of stuff I always like in knifemaking.

    For the blades and springs I use O1 steel (can't find it anymore, what a bad news) and 1095. All differential hardening of 1095 blades are made with water quench.
    Handles are made of mild steel or stainless, G10 liners with milled reliefs and blades are mounted on bronze washers.
