Hey guys, well went forward and designed a shucking knife, don't know if its is going to be a practical shape, but feel really nice so far.
    inputs and opinions welcome....

Looks good Pierre. The overall shape is there. What is the thickness of steel? 1/8"?
I believe this will be a prying as opposed to a slicing edge so a steep angle is the key.

Thank Dan, it is 1/8, from what I have learned from these is that yes it is a prying tool but also has to be tin enough at the tip to slip between the shells with out breaking them, ( criteria for the championship) also there is tendon that has to be cut inside...don't think it a very hard task to do...but figure a good cutting edge at the tip would be useful.
