As I promised some time ago, here is another version of Osage orange handle on puukko knife...

Blade is hand forged by RHGraham. It's modified 1086 steel with addition of vanadium. Blade is 95 mm, total length is 205 mm.

As always, criticism and comments are welcome and very much appreciated.

The only thing I don't like about these two is that I can't decide which one I like better. Lol. They look awesome!

Amazing work Roman. I love how you got the black in there.

I am guessing you glue and clamp the various elements into one block, then proceed to work the handle out of that block. Did you cut the sections on a bandsaw?

    Thank you, guys.

Dan, you are right, first I glued all the pieces in one block, then drilled a hole trough that block and worked it to get the tang trough. I don't have band saw. Everything is done by hand tools, hand drill and Dremel. For inside curves I made my own little wooden sanding drum and used it with hand drill installed in a vise.

Beautiful and creative pieces, Roman! My eye is especially drawn to the handle with the black liners.
