    the griffin is born!
Had a lot of fun designing this one...hidden tang, sculpted wood handle, electro etching.....
I call this one the tombstone griffin fighter knife.
the etching were all hand drawn over masking tape and cut out using a exacto knife ..the voids filled in with nail polish....first attempt don't go so well, had to sand off and start again.
the handle is sculpted out of one solid piece of maple burl oiled and buffed.
    bolster is brass.
hope you guys like it! now on to the leather.

B.e.a.utiful. love the etch on the blade. Can't wait to see what beautiful thing you come up with for the sheath.

Pretty sweet Peter. I dig the organic shapes you used. I think all knives should have curves and no straight lines anywhere - well, not consciously - just that all my knives seem to come out that way. Really nice Peter..

Thank you Todd, Your right I love the nature curves that just sits naturally in your hand. I just find that even if you don't go to the extent of casting the clients hand shape, it gives the impression that it was specifically custom made for that person. That's why all my recent design lately all have that little flow curve :D
