My First Sheath....

    Hi guys, here is a picture of my very first sheath....right now its to late to change anything on it because its leaving tomorrow for a charity auction...but for future reference what do you guys recommend?

    I think you did all right for your first sheath. Leather work is a whole other dimension to knife making.
    Good luck with the charity auction. It's a great feeling to give.

    My own design...now I just have to get it on my blades..lol

    I think it looks good. It looks to me like the knife is in the sheath backwards to what I normally see. Is the sharp edge of the knife usually on the stitching side or the folded side?

    stitched side is normal, you will typically have a leather spacer there so the knife edge does not contact the threads.

    Personally I make sure the sharp edge cannot contact when sheath is new and once broken in or old as me then the spacer will still be protecting the threads.
