My 3rd knife and second sheath

    Hey everyone, been a while since I got any work done. I finally had the chance to work on this one lase week and got it all done. This is my third knife.

    O1 tool steel
    OAL- 12-5/8"
    Blade length is 8-3/8"
    Black canvas micarta
    Hollow stainless pins
    My own hand made shieth.

    That thing's a monster! I like it. Nice detail in the firework, too.

    Love the decorative working the back of the handle.
    Some sort of inlay?
    Nice tool work on the sheath as well.

    Well... As far as working with it goes its real nice. Very soft and works nicely. As far as heat treating goes, that's another story. It's pretty demanding and should have about a 20 minute soak at about 1475 to get all the carbon into solution. I just have a coal forge so lots of borax and care are needed lol.

    Thanks man, that's file work that I do on the spine before I put te scales on. The cross was a little tricky to get right.

    That's a heck of a knife. File work really sets it off. Nicely done.
