MILL JIG

    came across this the other day checking out the small wheel grinder , this would be a handy jig for milling those hidden tang hand filing jobs
    use the mill to make one :rolleyes:

    Thats a great idea and probably not too hard to make. I'm going to give it a go.

    I made a carbide file guide that looked a bit like the jig above. I will post some pictures of it as soon as I get permision to do so.

    That looks like a solid moneymaking plan right there haha. If there seems to be one common phrase among knifemakers i know, its "just shut up and take my money!!" lol

    Looks like a pretty good rig! I made one and used fully hardened o1 for the faces. Where did you get the carbide?

    I got the carbide from Fastenal, I think it was 3/8" x 3" x 0.125" and it was on sale for $8.00 each. Looking back, I should have bought more because the price is about $20.00 a piece now.
