talking to a friend about my knives and the martials I use and when I told him about micarta he said "oh, my work uses it for the tops of all our work benches!" to my surprise he was able to get a bunch of the cut offs now its not the most desirable colour but I think it will make for a near work series knife or hatchet and the price was right. looks like tough duck jacket colour

 

I got a bunch of very similar looking stuff from my job.
This knife was made 4 years ago now and as you see it ages back to brown eventually lol

 

Wow nice knife and that looks really good with the wood as well. Thanks for sharing I'm actually kinda excited to use it now. It's hard to tell what it will turn out looking like, as the knife I just posted, the handle turned out a bit different then what the sheet of micarta looked like so you never know

 

Here is one that I did up with some of the same material. I like the color as it has a natural feel to it.
