Well it is snowing here so I thought I would finish up a couple of knives. This re-curve hunter is made from my crushed W's twisted damascus and a piece of Roman's Masur birch that I got from him and had stabilized. The blade is 15N20 and 1080 steel with curved bolster and spacers and a stainless butt cap.
Holy .... all those curves. Excellent pairing of the pattern and wood as well.... they both almost look like flames.
Really cool! That's your trademark bolster alright. The Masur birch looks amazing, as Prevenge said looks like fire in the wood. Cal, we're glad that you had snow. That means more inspiring knives coming our way. Dan
Very nice! Beautiful knife and as somebody noted before me, all these curves work together perfectly.
Everything from the damascus blade to the handle to the fit and finish is beautiful, Cal -- as usual. The blade shape kind of brings to mind a mini kukri Jim T
