I've dealt with Karl at Maragos Supplies four times in the past few years. He's operating out of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Although he mostly has unstabilised exotics in scales, he has a few blocks and some stabilized pieces from time-to-time.

I've never been disappointed with any of his products and what you see is what you get. Occasionally a piece goes unnoticed and a very low bid wins. Like some crosscut bocote scales for under US$ 4.00 sort of thing.

He ships right away via Canada Post. Bubble packs.
I like to support the Canadian entrepreneurs.

I just don't like the pricing in $USD.

He has a store on esty (ebay clone) and I noticed the prices are substantially higher, but in $CAD.

What are his payment options like, and does he do any other sales outside of ebay?

I've used him many times..great deals sometimes. And never disappointed. He really good with combined shipping. Gave me a week to put together 5-6 eBay wins and then shipped them. As you can see below I have a decent little collection now

Chris you were the one who killed my bid with 15 seconds left! LOL

No, I did the same. Waited for four or five auctions to close, then paid. Really good guy Karl is. And the USD thing I understand. His business is 90% US and 10% Canadian. That's about the population ratio and fair is fair in business. Hats off either way.

My big beef is all the extra fees on my end. But I guess if I want it that bad, I should be prepared to pay for it. It just sucks paying the 30% and then some exchange rate, 3% on the credit card for a foreign currency transaction fee, and the transaction fee for the prepaid Visa I use for online purchases. If I could do EMT in $CAD, I'd be a really happy camper.

I ended up doing the same thing for a rear shock for my sport bike a couple years ago. By the time all the fees were tallied up I could have paid an extra $200 to have the same one installed at the local dealership.
