Hello - I am a hobby knife maker from Maple Ridge BC. I have been making knives via stock removal for ~3 years now and am just starting to get into forging. I am glad I found this forum, and thank whoever created it! If anyone in the Lower mainland ever wants to get together I would be interested. Doubly so if you can instruct in forging Cheers, kris
Welcome to the forums, Kris. As someone who hasn't made the transition to forging yet, can I ask what made you want to get into it?
Thanks Myth - Forging was always the goal from the start. I was limited by space for a while and then had to find the tools. Now we have an acreage and I am converting an old stables into a my forging shop slowly with the goal of not burning it down! Last step is education - 99% self taught until now but will need to find a mentor or teach at some point. You tube videos only take you so far....
