Hey all! I finally decided it was time and made my first sheath this weekend... It was definitely a learning experience and quite frankly, it is a bit of dud but that said, I am happy I did it! It may not be the prettiest, but I guarantee that sucker will do its job and not come apart. The next one will be much nicer now that I have already had to wrestle with and fix mistakes that I won't do twice... Anyways, check it out! As always, all critiques are welcome. I love to learn!
Nice one for your first attempt and they only get better from this point on. beware the left hand sheath, they have a habit of sneaking up on you. forgot to mention it but I like to have a drain hole in the tip of the sheath. basically leave a small portion of the welt out so that water can drain and the sheath sort of breaths.
Very nice for a first try. Nothing wrong with it. I always leave/make this drain hole, but in most cases it is needed mainly for blowing dirt out of sheath... ))
