Looking For Leather

    I am looking for a Canadian supplier for leather to make chaps.... I mean sheaths with. What are some good sources?

    I would say Tandy leather might be the most common supplier but there may be more.

    I've bought pieces from a few individuals on eBay. Typically 8 to 10 oz stuff. No surprises and I got what was in the photos.

    My best haul was from placing an ad on Kijiji. I posted an ad asking for leather and leathercraft tools, dye etc. For $20 I got a giant Costco bag of veg tanned leather.

    Also, I friend of mine gets his leather through a saddle shop (equine supply place?). So a custom saddle maker may be able to point you in the right direction for a local source.
