Last Two Christmas Orders

    Last two knives done and off to the new owners to get Christmas day!
    First time using vinyl sticker to etch something and besides being slightly off it turned out nice and bold with out the sticker lifting up and distorting the image.

    Very cool. Is that acrylester on the stone-washed tanto?

    Thanks Dan. I can't be 100% but my guess is yes it is. Haha it was sold at a local shop and he bot from jantz but he passed away so no way of asking what it was per say. It smelt bad but was awesome to work!

    Looks nice and liquid like shiny. I love Acrylester. It smells a little like an autobody shop (polyester resin), sort of a sweetish, chemical smell when you work it.

    Yup that' the smell haha good thing for respirators haha. My wife loves the handle and wants one like it too now haha

    Nice knives. Total noob question here but, how do you stone-washing on a knife? Is it just a kind of acid etching? I like that look a lot.

    Ya Todd. I basically acid etched it. I do not have a tumbler so a Powerade bottle and some sharp crushed gravel and shake away haha

    Ya it turned out better then I though it might I want to make a tumbler one day but a little elbow grease alays works in the end
