Kitchen Karver

I don't usually make any knives in the summer but it rained last week so I thought I would
get this completed. I got a bit of a surprise because this is a new piece of Tiger G10 and is really orange compared to the old stuff which was brown and black.
I guess it will make it easy to find in the kitchen.

Yes, I have a press and a rolling mill and forge all my steel

The G10 is certainly an eye-catcher. I like the way it worked out so that the right side has an black island near the rear pin and the left side has an orange island.

416 bolster and pins?

no 304 L, why anyone uses and pays for 416 is beyond me.
316 works just as well and is available at most junk yards for next to nothing.

 

This is a great looking knife!

 

Edit above : should have read 304 L works just as well .................. and 316 pin material matches the 304 L
