Beautiful work, as always.
absolutely beautiful Cal , love it !!
Great job! Love those bolsters!
You have a real eye for getting the details spot on.
How long did it take all in to make?
Kinda gets boring saying "Beautiful knife, Cal" but it never gets old seeing the beautiful knife in question.
And I need to get back to making!
Thanks for the comments.
Thought you got eaten by a bear, you haven't been here for a long time.
Yeah, been on the bench since the move. Need to get away on vacation and belly up to the grinder!
Wow, very nice indeed, love the grain of the wood and the wonderful bolster/brass fittings. Did you make the fittings yourself or are the sourceed as I am trying to make a list of good places to get my knife making parts from and reputable places for Damascus steel and other steel bars, flat stock and round, screws, rods, finishing products etc. If there is a list of this on the forms, can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks muchly.
Take a look at what Rob has over at www.knifemaker.ca.
Will do thanks
Forge has, from time to time, sold Damascus in the classifieds here. With his rolling mill going he may have some to share with the members. Drop him a PM.
Nice work man. I really like the looks of the g10 with it. Usually g10 doesn't suit a damascus blade but that one sure does.
May I ask how you got that neat finish on the shieth?
