Hello, It's with great pleasure that I say hello to all of you in this great community of knife makers. Alittle about myself, I am a precision machinist and an avid hunter and father of two. I'm very passionate about what I do and enjoy striving to do the best that I can, which is why I am my worst critic. I look forward to learning and understanding how to go about knife making by being around such a helpful and knowledgable group of individuals. Cheers Jay
Hi Jay, Welcome to the forum. If you have any questions, give us a shout. When you say "precision machinist" does that mean you do mill/lathe work? Hobby or work? Regards, Dan
Thank you for all the warm welcomes. Hi Dan, I do both as well as welding on an electron beam welder, using a cnc carousel under vacuum. We use it for welding copper and brass to stainless 4140 applications. I work in a precision machine shop. We work with very small tolerances down to microns.
