    Hi All,

I'm a hobby knife maker in Alberta. I started about 4 years ago, but have had an interest since I was a kid. I mainly make hunting and camping knives, but starting to try my hand at kitchen knives as well.

I'm a full time forester working north of Edmonton. I'm an outdoor enthusiast, hunter, camper, and hobby farmer. Thanks for the group, looking forward to the discussions.

I did a search in the forum but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know where to find nice cardboard boxes for shipping their knives? all the manufacturers that I've contacted all want to make a custom die, and that's quite expensive. Surely someone out there makes a 3x3x12 inch(or somewhat similar) mailer box?? Thanks

Welcome Jordon. We're glad to have you.

As to your question, have you considered mailing tubes instead of boxes? They come in a variety of diameters and can be cut to length, if needed.

Thanks, I'll look into that. I was hoping for a nice box that would present the knife a little more professionally, but struggling to find that.

I am going to order some as is! I think it’s neat, each box I can customize with the dimensions, steel, and design information...and put the order number as the evidence number haha!

I've looked high and low and the evidence boxes have been alli could find.

Some jewelry boxes will work for smaller knives

I found some 10x3x2 on the Uline site that will work for most of my knives. I'll have to find something else for larger ones like chef knives. https://www.uline.ca/Product/Detail/S-844/Indestructo-Mailers/10-x-3-x-2-White-Indestructo-Mailers

packlane.com has some neat customization you can do, but it'll end up being close to $10/box by the time I get them. Not sure I'm at that stage yet.

Probably more cost effective to go with plain boxes and slap customized makers mark stickers on them.
