Hey guys, just figured I would throw out my most recent completion. This hunter is 8.5 OAL with a 3.625 cutting edge. The scales are dyed and stabilized box elder burl, with black G10 bolsters and stainless pins. The blade is finished with an 800 grit cork belt and green compound. Steel on this one is 1/8 1095 and the sheath is 9oz black leather with some simple stamping. It is not yet stitched in the picture.

Between work, Stanley Cup playoffs on TV, working on my boat, I hadn't gotten much done in the shop lately and figured it was time to get something done. They cant sell if they don't get made. I have had a better than average year, selling 11 since January, and being basically out of finished knives, i had to push myself to keep the momentum. Now that this is finished, I have to start on 3 orders for repeat customers, and then back to making what I want.

She is pretty, is there a finish on the bolsters or just polished?

Thanks dude. The bolsters are just sanded to 800 grit and then buffed

Nice one, as always. I wouldn't have picked the green, but you've made it work for me.

I very much like that. Excellent work on both the knife and the sheath.

Very cool. That colour really pops. Another technique for me to learn in the future!
