How to - knife grind

    I must be a bit of an odd ball :) I use two pieces of angle iron back to back. connected with a bolt on either end in a slot, depending on what I am doing like cutting an angled edge on the ricasso or grinding a radius on the blade tip I will either put one of the bolts through the handle as a pivot, or clamping tight for sharp lines or keeping fingers out of the 36 grit belt (don't ask).

    first blade ground from bar stock, little notch from blade getting away from me when free hand grinding. Decided that there may not be enough steel left if completely removed so left it as a reminder. The grinder has a table for supporting the work and relocates as needed.
