Home made arc grinder adapter

    well i made this to grind arcs in my knifes and handles . its a front hub off a bicycle wheel. then i had to remove spokes and grind the edges down to slide a piece of pipe over . then bolted to the end of a tube . works just fine .will make another with two on it that i can rotate once i find a smaller wheel hub .[​IMG]

    That's brilliant man! I was thinking of doing something like this but never thought of a bicycle hub.

    thanks , but i had to slide a pipe over hub . i used a front tire and i tried with out a pipe and because of the taper in the hub it shredded up a old belt very easy.back hubs seem ok except they are much larger .

    I am using a drum sander on the drill press, but that leaves me at the mercy of whatever sandpaper tubes I can find, typically 120 grit or less. A small diameter wheel on the belt grinder is the way to go.

    Very clever idea :) now if you can find a small tire tube to slide over the wheel that would make it even better IMO.
