Greetings all! I'm Jim T from Wetaskiwin, Alberta. I'm a hobbyist knife maker working out of my garage. So far, I’ve just done stock removal, but I’ve been trying to gain experience when it comes to forging. Fortunately, there are several terrific knife makers in Alberta who have been kind enough and patient enough to introduce me to the basics of creating damascus. Part of my real job involves developing and coordinating events at one of our provincial museums and, last year, I introduced a Metal Art Show and Sale that included several custom knife makers from the western provinces (yes, Saskatchewan, too).
