Hi everyone, I'm Vincent Zed, owner of Zed Knives. I've been making knives for about 6 years and I'm finally at the point where I feel comfortable selling my work. That being said, I always want to learn more and this is the perfect place to do just that! Currently I'm working on learning as much as I can with handles (my weakest point in my opinion) especially new, unique materials to make them from! I look forward to learning from all of you! Vincent
Welcome to the forums. We've certainly got folks here who know their way around handle material. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.
Hey cool. I have seen a composite like this on YouTube before and the guy used skateboard decks. Please share your secrets. I have also seen some weird uses for lots of coloured pencil crayons on YouTube. Probably not the best material to work into a knife handle, but looked pretty far out. BTW welcome to the forum. I know you've been lurking. LOL Dan
Hi Dan! you got it first try, it's skateboard. it's a real pain to use but the payoff is SO worth it in my opinion
Welcome @Vincent Zed . So are you a hobbyist transitioning into a full-time knifemaker? Sweet Kitchen-Cutter by the way
