Hi everyone, it's great to see there's a Canadian forum! Can't believe I never found it till now...

I'm a hobby bladesmith been at it for about 3-4 years now, mainly into making the historical stuff but love almost anything with a edge to it. Love making patternwelded blades even though they don't always love me back and just moved and setting my shop back up so hopefully I'll have some new work to show off!

Also really happy to see so many people from Sask. here , I'd love to make it out to one of your meets to come face to face with you fine people!

Hope you guys like pictures cause here's some stuff from 2012!

    Welcome to the forums, Mike.

I really like historical work. Great to see someone making it. Based on the pictures here, I can't wait to see more. Can you tell us a little about the pieces? They do look a bit Nordic to me. (Oh, which probably explains your name.)

Yeah these are all got some viking in them,

First swords a peterson type H. 29 inch blade and 35 overall and alittle over 2 1/2 lbs it's a 3 bar core thats twisted and straight in some sections and the edge bars are 220ish layers all 1084 and 15n20

next ones a wolf tooth seax, spins wrought iron and edge is W1(this one of the few I sold and had a hard time letting it go...)

the 2 swords where sent over to the Czech Republic for hilting but that smith is a very busy man!

and the last ones my latest, it a 8 bar seax with a elk antler handle thats been carved, this I got w1,1084,15n20 and wrought all mixed into this blade

    thanks
