Ok, I gotta blame Forged in Fire. Well, that and a grandfather who had a big ass anvil and used to do some bashing. I am starting the work on my forge soon. Just gathering some materials. Great to be here.
Hello Southpaw! Welcome to the forum. You're in the right..err...left place to do some bashing! Love to see what you get up to, Dan P.S. You are left handed right?
Hey, you're from my old stomping grounds, Southpaw! I just got back from Winnipeg last week. I was born and raised there and most of my family is still there. I'm in Alberta now. Lots of great knifemakers here. Welcome to the forum! Jim T
Yeah, @Jim T has tried both left and right. One day, we'll get him to the centre. And welcome to the forum.
Thanks all. Yes, I'm a left hander. Of course I know where Rivers is, lol. I was born in Souris and grew up in Brandon. Used to fish with my grandfather in Rivers. Anyway, while pulling together materials for my propane forge, I've decided to make my first knife using the stock removal method. It allows me to start putting some of my ideas into reality, even without having the forge. I can't wait to see what happens.
