Hello, I am newbie and was so glad to find this proper friendly Canadian forum. I grew up learning both woodwork and metalwork. However, I left the metalwork slide a bit because of time space and "life". I’m interested in knife making and I’m and just starting up...I am hoping to build a 2x72 grinder soon. I have been reading other posts and it is informative. I look forward to connecting with as many of you as I start this exciting hobby.
I probably mention this to every beginner but check out Dan's knife blog he has tons of good info, templates and do it yourself grinder plans plus lots of tutorials. http://dcknives.blogspot.ca/ On mine I have been slowly posting heat treating information that I have collected over the years as well.
Hi Kwesi, Welcome to the forum. Quite a few of us have built our own grinders. If you have any questions, please let us know. Dan
I'm sorry i missed your post. Welcome to the forum. This is the single best source of information i could find when i started making knives. I looked at a lot of information too. These guys are the best.
Thank you. It is nice to be connecting with all of you. The information I have looked at so far is very good. Thanks again for connecting.
