Greetings all. Very a mature maker here in the Steel City. Just getting my feet wet again after a 5 year absence. I'm a huge fan of the Canadian Belt Knife design, and am just finishing up a 3rd one for a fellow hunter. It's not quite done yet, but I'm so excited to find a local forum I feel I have to share. Comments and critiques welcome, and thanks for having me. A2 steel, oak scales treated with ferric acetate to darken them, and TruOil finish...

P.s. Going to have to add pics after I do a little homework. Sorry. Lol

Thanks. I had my girlfriend engrave it. My hands aren't meant for work that is that delicate...

    Welcome to the forum, @CriticalEdge

Nice blades, love the filework. I'm a big fan of the Russell knives as well. Been going to make one for my brother-in-law for a while. You may have inspired me to get working.

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place to get ideas and lots of help. No egoes here and lots of patience. Glad to see another Ontarian (?) on the forum. I think the Albertans and Manitobans have us seriously outnumbered.

Warmed up a bit today, and +1 tomorrow... I think it's going up to +3 by weeks' end. Plenty warm for my outside work....

my poor heater does a poor job of keeping frost off me at -40 sure makes -20 seem like a nice warm day after a couple weeks of Arctic weather.
