Hi everyone, new here, I was pleased to find a Canadian knifemakers forum! I dabble around in pretty much anything I can manage from music (bluegrass and blues) to art (I'm a tattooer full time, and painter when I can manage to sit still at night) to building things (almost finished building a curly maple lapsteel guitar, I turn bowls quite often, and make furniture) and just recently got completely consumed by knife making. I really feel like it's going to be an addiction haha though I've only made one knife so far. I thought I'd take the hard road and build a small forge and see what I could beat out of a piece of round bar, I'll put some pictures in the pics section. Anyway, thanks for having me! Eager to learn and work hard!
Welcome aboard, Mark. i don't know how you manage to do everything you do, but I'm glad you decided to add knife making to the list. We have a good bunch here, who are always ready to help with problems.
Hi Mark and welcome! I'd love to see pictures of your guitar as well as your knife (the first of many, I hope) and your forge. Jim T
Hey thanks Jim, I put some pictures of the knife in the projects section, and I'll post a pic of the guitar in the off topic section so you can check it out!
