Long time knife enthusiast, I live in the Ottawa region and looking to start making knives. I travel a lot for work right now but will start soon with mostly hand tools ( I own a drill press, bench grinder and have access to lots of my dad and fil’s tools including mig welder, steel chop saw). If I really like making knives, I plan on building a 2x72 belt grinder from an salvaged treadmill! Looking forward to interact with you guys!!
Good to have you here, Degz0r. Starting with hand tools is a good way to develop a real feel for working the steel. I still prefer it, despite the time it takes.
